Kyocera Precision Tools, a global supplier of cutting tool products, is currently seeking a Technical Sales Engineer - Medical Market. This person will report to the North American Sales Manager and support KPTI North American Field Sales Engineers.

Job Description

We are searching for a Technical Sales Engineer with a focus on the North American medical market. This position will maintain key accounts and support Field Sales Engineers and distribution partners through a broad range of technical knowledge and a deep understanding of the medical metalworking industry. This position is responsible for enabling profitable sales, expanding on existing business, and developing new business by providing technical support, recommending new tooling solutions, and preparing and executing technical presentations.


Duties
  • Develop medical industry segment sales strategies and action plans specific to Kyocera's tooling capabilities.
  • Technically support Field Sales Engineers in the development of target accounts and opportunities within assigned market segment.
  • Expand and develop accounts through demonstration of product capabilities and implementation of winning solutions to new and existing customers.
  • Train distributors, sales, and customers on applications of products.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in marketing, sales or engineering (Required)
  • Minimum 5 Years of engineering or direct sales experience within the medical manufacturing industry (Required)
  • Experience working with metal removal tooling, including understanding of machining techniques such as turning, drilling, and milling as applied to the machining of stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and plastics (Required)
  • Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time
  • Strong organizational skills and problem solving ability
  • Proficient with MS Office with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
  • Able to work as a team, partner effectively with others, multitask, respond to rapid change, perform duties with accuracy and with strong degree of urgency, and perform work with limited supervision
  • Able to handle large quantities of information while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to work with a diverse audience
  • Technical sales and project management experience is preferred
  • Good time-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Demonstrated self-starter and able to work independently in a fast paced environment
